Gokshuradi Guggulu is an important classical polyherbal formulation used in the Ayurvedic system of medicine. It is a mixture of several herbs each having different beneficial properties. It contains Gokshura as the main ingredient. Gokshura is rich in potassium which helps in preventing the formation of kidney stones (Urolithiasis). This is due to its lithotriptic (stone dissolving) and diuretic (urine increasing) properties. Guggulu adds value to the process by multiplying the effect as it also provides diuretic action, providing relief from inflammation and pain. It has Lekhana (scraping) property which is beneficial in removing stones.
According to Ayurveda, Gokshuradi Guggulu has Mutral property (diuretics) which helps to remove kidney stones from the body. This property also helps to expel excess uric acid from the body, thereby providing relief from the symptoms of gout. It is also used for the treatment of various chronic diseases like diabetes. Furthermore, it shows beneficial results in preventing diabetes-related complications like diabetic nephropathy. It works by improving renal functions and avoiding damage to kidney tissues.
Oral intake of Gokshuradi Guggulu is considered safe. Studies on Gokshuradi Guggulu show no sign of toxicity when taken orally.
